1-Day Intensive International Professional Certification Program
Evidence-Based Complementary & Integrative Aromatherapy
Delivery Format: LIVE Online International Training
Target Markets: UAE, India & International Healthcare and Wellness Professionals
Course Level: Professional Continuing Education
Language: English
Duration: 1 Full Day (8 Hours Total)
Format: Live Interactive Online Sessions + Digital Learning Materials

Rationale
This Live On Line Workshop establishes the scientific and professional foundations of modern clinical aromatherapy. Participants are introduced to the evolution of aromatherapy from traditional botanical practices to evidence-based complementary and integrative healthcare applications used internationally today.

The Workshop begins with an overview of clinical aromatherapy within modern healthcare systems, emphasizing ethical practice, scientific responsibility, and professional standards relevant to the UAE, India, and global wellness sectors. Participants explore how aromatherapy is integrated into complementary medicine, wellness programs, hospital settings, and holistic healthcare environments.

A major focus of this workshop is Aromascience and essential oil chemistry. Participants learn how essential oils are produced, how plant biochemistry influences therapeutic properties, and how aromatic compounds interact with human physiology. Key chemical families—including terpenes, esters, alcohols, ketones, oxides, phenols, and aldehydes—are explored in relation to their pharmacological activity and clinical relevance.

The program also introduces the pharmacology and mechanisms of action of essential oils, including olfactory pathways, skin absorption, nervous system responses, psycho-emotional effects, and the relationship between aroma and the limbic system. Participants gain an evidence-based understanding of how aromatic molecules may influence stress physiology, emotional wellbeing, sleep quality, respiratory function, and inflammation pathways.

The Workshop concludes with an extensive professional safety and toxicology module covering dilution principles, contraindications, phototoxicity, sensitization, medication interactions, pediatric and pregnancy precautions, and international aromatherapy safety standards. Participants also learn how to evaluate essential oil quality through GC/MS analysis and recognize adulteration risks.
